I think what you meant to say is a 380 not a 308. A 380 semi might make a good close range home defense but a 308 is a high powered rifle man and this isn't home defense unless you have constant problems with bears getting in your house. Your ballistics seem to indicate you are saying 308 but if that is the case then obviously you don't know weaponry very well so educate first but whatever you do put down the 308 in the home.
