What i am asking is how the actual "business" or the need for cards are these days. Do you just put a card up for sale that you have valued from a book and wait to see if there is someone interested? Personally, I don't see the point in marriage anymore. Marriage was originally used to claim ownership and have legal rights over the woman. It was also largely to do with religion. Now days people are having children and have long committed relationships without that piece of paper. If my long-term partner wanted to get married I might consider it, but I don't think I'll ever feel a great need to get married. After all, there are so many divorces, people will still cheat etc and then it's a long, big hle to separate and move on.

feeding, period hasn't returned- could I be pregnant?

After I delivered my son my periods never returned. After my son was 1 1/2 years old and still nursing, I quit "being careful" not to conceive and got pregnant right away. Despite not having a period, I got morning sickness and all the usual signs - tested and sure enough was pregnant. Its totally possible. A period isn't really required to ovulate. I asked my doc about it and he just said "it happens". My sister got pregnant the very first time they had post partum, she was feeding too and thought she was safe!

It would have been more tactful if they'd have waited to give you the check until she felt a bit better and could move easier, but they were well within their rights. Actually, they could have charged you for the meal and not offered to still give it to you to go. You ordered a meal. It isn't free for them to cook. Not to mention, they probably had to give free meals to the people who had to see the event. It wasn't their fault your daughter had a seizure. Yes, it sucks, but you deal with it. I have seizures too. I have thrown up after seizures. IN PUBLIC. Be glad they didn't tell you to either leave immediately with emergency personnel or go home right then. It's private property. They could have legally had you stand at the front to pay and made you leave. The fact that they cleaned it up and waited until after your daughter was more alert was polite. Get over yourself, the world doesn't revolve around you if you have a medical disorder! I've had to toughen up because of seizures. Your daughter and you will too! Sorry if this sounds harsh, but that's how life works. I've worked restaurants, I have seizures.... I've been on both ends.

Electrical Problems with a 2001 Hyundai Accent? OD Blows my ECU/TCU fuse. Why?

I have a 2001 Hyundai Accent GL 1.6L DOHC Auto. If The Overdrive on is not engaged when I start the car it blows the ECU/TCU fuse as soon as I turn the key. If I am driving with the overdrive on and It gets turned of the fuse blows and the car quits. When this happens all I have to do is engage the OD and then replace the fuse and its fine. This is a real pain in the . Nothing has been altered or "fixed" electricaly. Its all factory and stock. Its a 10amp 2 prong fuse. I cant figure out what would cause this. ok I would like your opinion on this matter. I recently bought a brand name suit -from a big outlet store--off 5th--and I got it tailored just as I would any other suit. However, after the first alteration, I went back to have the pants recut from double pleated to being single pleated, and I had the jacket tapered in a bit. Chances a boy after four confirmed "girl" ultrasounds...?

This is a bit silly but all the questioning from strangers (due to how I am carrying and such) and just in general has my husband worried. We are 32 weeks pregnant, we have had four ultrasound techs say "girl"...from 16 weeks to 30 weeks. Including a 3D ultrasound...three lines seen. But baby has had her legs crossed most of the time, except for the 3D. With our first, a boy it was VERY clear he was a boy. Receiving the holy gosth is something pretty amazing,i came from a catholic church and they never enevn bealeved you could get it, when i start going to a Pentecostal church i was kinda shocked but i felt at home. My guess is that she saw the dorms and thinks dorm life would be better for you -- you'd meet more people, have more fun, and perhaps become more outgoing. (I definitely saw a lot of shy people in college who became more outgoing from living in the dorms and having people to hang out with.) No parent wants their child to be all alone out in the world -- we want them to have a circle of friends who care about them and eventually a family of their own. Solitary people, in particular, need to develop the social skills that will help them survive on their own. Your best argument that is that you can study better in a quieter environment than a dorm, plus you've already researched clubs and other activities to join once you get to school so that you can meet people that way.

Why does my partner always go out after work?

I hope this doesn't sound too petty, but I am getting really upset about how much my partner goes out after work during the week. We have a 5 month old son, and during the pregnancy he was fantastically attentive. I should also mention that at this point he was unemployed while I worked. When our son was 6 weeks old he got a job which was fantastic news as he was really starting to get low about lack of employment. But since then, I feel that I barely see him during the week. His hours finish at 5pm but sometimes he has to stay later to finish a task before he can come home. I understand this totally. But if he does finish on time, he will always go out for drinks with people from work. In the end he ends up coming home on time one week night out of five. When he is late, our son has gone to sleep so he doesn't get to see his dad and I end up going to bed on my ow (when he is late he gets home at 10). I understand that it has not been long since he started the job and he wants to get to know the people he is working with, but they are single people who have no one to go home for. We have spoken about it and he has apologised for not prioritising himself properly and putting his family first and promised to improve. I think going out once a week with friends or colleagues is reasonable, especially as there are other nights in the week when he does have to stay late to do actual work. But since we have spoken things have not improved. He now rings me in the day to ask my permission to go out. I feel obligated to say yes as I don't want to tell him he can't have a nice time, but I feel resentful towards him as I have to stay in the look after the baby and spend the evening on my own once he has gone to sleep. I'm going back to work full time in a month and I am worried that he will continue to not be around, and I will be left to work and sort our son out with no help from him. I don't know if I can do it. He has reured me that he will get himself into gear when I do go back to work in all aspects (housework as well), but I am doubtful as he has ured me about other things which have not happened. I just don't know what to do and say to him. I have told him that I feel neglected and hurt, but he is still acting selfishly. What I hate most of all is that he always stays out late on a friday night, last week he got in at 4am and the friday before was 2am. He then has a hangover on the saturday so isn't any use helping to care for our son, which is a real shame as he is fantastic with him when he is around and not feeling the after affects. Does anyone have any useful advice about this situation? Should I talk to him again? Will he get his act together when I go back to work and help me with our son? I just feel so frustrated and upset about the situation.

So recently I was looking at the story of joesph and it really made me feel like I had to forgive this girl. A few weeks ago she basically played me and kind of broke my heart. What could be wrong with my brain?

Since Monday, I've had trouble concentrating, speech problems, short term memory loss, vision problems,dizzy spells, I do things that I really don't want to do like stomp my feet for no reason, or i'll say random things. I'm forgetting vocabulary I want to say and I don't feel like if I'm the one saying or doing things. Like if I'm controlled. My thoughts are cloudy, and I feel like if I'm sleeping awake. I've had fatigue for no reason this whole week and I'm constantly yawning. I feel disoriented, confused, pretty much all of the above. I have this feeling of nothingness like if I'm sleeping awake. I've also had this pain that comes and goes and varies in intensity around my head. Sometimes the pain will be on the left side of my head, the back, the top or the right. The ophthalmologist didn't find anything wrong with my eyes, and the pediatric said it probably isn't a tumor because I had an MRI 5 years ago and it didn't find anything wrong. I'm only 15, I don't do drugs, and I don't drink. What could be the problem?

You may have to gradually get him used to not being held while you're doing stuff. Like start with letting him cry for 5 minutes, then 10, then 20, and then you can stick with 20 minutes each time of which you can do something and he should get used to that time frame. There's no guarantee that will work though!!! Or, you can put 90% of his toys away. Leaving only 10% out at a time, and rotate them so that it's like new toys each day or week. Maybe that would entertain him?? My son loved his Fisher Price Jumperoo. Preparing my roof for new shingles?

I have one layer of shingles and need to put on a new layer as it is starting to leak in places. It's the original roof and is about 50 years old. The problem is there is a very large pine that overhangs a portion of the roof. While I have trimmed back the offending branches, the damage is done. A little ecology has sprouted up, and there is quite a bit of moss and lichen on this section of the roof. My question is, what do I need to do to prepare the roof for a second layer of shingles? Do I need to remove/kill the growth, and if so, how? I would like to avoid having to remove all the shingles.

I recently took the SATs and the ACTs. I did really well on the SATs with total of 2270, 780 on the CR, 720 on the M, and 770 on the writing. However, I didnt study for the ACTs at all, and received a 30. I am planning on applying to selective schools (Vandy, Northwestern, Emory, etc), so should i retake my ACTs or just stick with my SAT score? Do selective colleges even have a preference? Thanks!

My 6 year old Chihuahua wont stop barking!?

I have a 6 year old chihuahua. I know they are known for their "yappiness", but mine seems to take it to a new level. She barks when my kids run in the house, she barks when someone leaves or comes in the door. She barks when my kids play too loud. We call her the "fun police" because she "yells" when people are having fun. It seems that barking is as natural and involuntary to her as breathing. How can I curb this barking? I've been working out a ton and eating healthy, why am I gaining weight?

So for over a month now I've been eating healthy foods like grains and fruit and taking in about 2000 calories a day. I found that my basal metabolic rate is 1990. On top of that I've been biking for about 1 hour every day and walking around 3 hrs a day. Somehow I've gained weight! I doubt it is overeating, because months ago I ate tons of junk food and drank sugary drinks, with minimal exercise. My weight stayed the same then, but now I've been working hard and have gained around 5-7 pounds in two weeks! What is wrong with me!!!

17 weeks, and baby moved down?

I'm 17 weeks and 3 days. Well I've been having cramping on and off since yesterday, they feel almost exactly like period cramps.. just not as intense. Well I thought it was just everything stretching in there! I just used my fetal doppler and it seems as if my baby has maybe moved down a little bit! I could always find her heartbeat right around my navel, well now its about 2 inches below my navel! I'm worried because the cramps are coming about where she's sitting! this is what i have done. i went through the cook book one day while my child was playing and found some receipies. then i wrote them down. checked to see if i had the ingredients to make it. i started out with 5 new reciepes, that way you had something new for each night of the week excluding sat. & sun. i wrote down everything that i needed before heading out to the store. i also made a calendar for the month and believe me this works. i wrote down every day what we would have for supper. so one week say - monday - hot dogs/mac n cheese tues - chicken , wed - hamburgers thurs - pizza friday - pot roast.. see what i mean. do this for about a month and see what happens. you will be amazed how long you can go without having the same thing over and over. it worked for me.

OK, I realize that the likelyhood of somebody living in my area being able to help me is slim but its worth a try. Why do some people stop eating when depressed and others eat more??

While I certainly have no degree, I theor-ize that this has to do with nerve transmittors, or communication between the nerves and how many times they connect or don't connect. For example, junk food has carbs, calories and sugars, which according to my theory would cause the nerve ending to get moving, and thus provide a sense of relief from the depression...but again I have no degree on this matter and it is theory. From what I do understand about some depression pills, they effect the communication amongst nerve endings, and this is only a minor understanding of some pills, cuz not all work the same. You may find that a good run around they block, will make these type of munchies go away. The ones that don't eat and end up looking anorexic, do not end up in a better situation, cuz it is all still poor diet. Poor diet via starvation or over eatting starves the brain of food nutrients that it needs to survive, okay. Although one may appear thin and better off, it is only a cloak. I think, you just need to try other nerve stimulation, like 3 times a week, nothing to be married to or tied down to. Good luck.

Digital Camera defect?

I bought the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP2 yesterday, and when I was playing with the camera display at Best Buy yesterday, the quality looked fine. First time home buyer has the money but not the credit.?

Having a problem with my lilac trees

The one with white spots probably is powdery mildew. It has been particularly bad in areas in which there has been high humidity and a lot of moisture. There are other lilac diseases as well. The other plants may indeed be dead possibly from Alternaria but you may want to wait a few weeks to see if they leaf out again. If you are not adverse to treating with a fungicide then do it but be aware that treating with a fungicide does carry a certain risk to you and it sounds like you have a lot of plants to treat.. Even if you decide to spray be sure to get up every leaf that falls off the sick plants now and during the winter because the fungus will stick around over winter on the old leaves. Burn them. You really shouldn't compost them because then they could stick around to infect other plants. One other thing is that you may want to check out what cultivars you are buying. Many of the plants that come from places like Walmart (not to pick on them or anything but they just buy whatever is cheapest when it comes to plants) may not be the best plants. Make sure it is a cultivar that is resistant to Powdery mildew if you decide to replant.

Pain in lower right abdomen ?

Hi since my last period I have had pain in my lower right abdomen... felt like where ovary would be then after a couple of weeks the pain has got lower ( towards join in hip) and is more like a burning sensation on surface? area is not tender but seems as if it could be swollen.. there a big blue veins on hip. Had slight twinges in left abdomen aswell, but on and off. the right side discomfort is more or less every hour... like pinching/ dull ache / burning sensation .. its not agonising pain or anything!
